About Us

Today, Star Harbor FCU serves over two hundred employee groups.

Star Harbor FCU was chartered in 1956. We started on Terminal Island among the fishing fleets and canneries as StarKist Employees Federal Credit Union. Our name was changed  to Star Harbor FCU in 1984. In 1986 we moved to our current location in Rancho Dominguez.

Today, Star Harbor FCU serves over two hundred employee groups. We're a member owned and member oriented financial corporation dedicated to providing a wide range of competitive services for the mutual benefits of all of our members.

Star Harbor Federal Credit Union is chartered under federal law. Federally chartered credit unions are regulated by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an independent agency of the U.S. Government.  The NCUA's three board members are nominated by the President of the United States and confirmed by the Senate.
